“Twenty-five years ago, people could be excused for not knowing much, or doing much, about climate change. Today we have no excuse.” – Desmond Tutu
Twenty-five years ago, individuals could have been pardoned for their limited awareness and inaction regarding climate change. However, in contemporary times, such ignorance is indefensible. This assertion, articulated by Desmond Tutu, underscores the imperative for heightened global consciousness and proactive engagement with the pressing issue of climate change.
Learning about our climate emergency is not something many of us might take pleasure in, but it has become a necessity. It is now crucial that we self-educate ourselves about it in order to address it.
One of our main priorities right now is or rather should be both ‘confronting’ and then ‘tackling’ our shared Climate Emergency.
Confronting it involves first accepting the reality of its dangers, educating ourselves and others about exactly what the climate emergency is, and understanding the danger it presents and what is at stake.
Tackling the issue involves applying what we have learned towards mitigation, adaptation, and other necessary steps that help both communities and businesses. This is a stark reality that we all must face, whether we are nervous about it tremendously or not.
Many people can see the climate emergency reality clearly, while others remain numb, turn a blind eye, or are even paid to deny it. But the message is clear – this is a reality we cannot ignore. In fact, scientific alerts indicate that the emergency effects are happening much sooner than predicted.
Adaptive Resiliency is now a mandatory measure, and we will be posting more about this on our private blog (link forthcoming).

“Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth… these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security, and women’s empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all.” – Ban Ki-moon
